Order Entry Specialist

Job SummaryThe Order Entry will receive orders for processing and manual entry.Duties/ResponsibilitiesEnter and process all orders assignedProcess all order change requests for assigned customer accountsAssist with small scale quotingFollow all standard operating procedures and assist in improving processes when possibleCommunicate openly and professionally with production, sales, and engineering teamBuilds rapport with all internal teams and works to ensure they receive excellent service.Communicate with customers either by telephone or electronically for order-related questions.Follow all standard operating procedures and assist in improving processes when possible.Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.Develop knowledge of scheduling principles and practicesExperience in a fast-paced work environmentStrong Microsoft applications skillsStrong communication skills - verbal and written.Performs other related duties, as assigned.Required Skills/AbilitiesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain good customer relations.Ability to type 40-50 words per minute.Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems.Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.One year of experience in customer service, scheduling, or order processing is required.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Frequent walking to deliver or retrieve paperwork.Occasional standing and bending are required to review products in the production areas.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.Pay$16 to $17 per hour
