DevOps Manager
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a passion for leadership to join our team as a DevOps Manager. As a DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of DevOps engineers to streamline our software development and operations processes. You will play a key role in implementing best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.
This role requires presence at our Phoenix, AZ location.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers to support the development and data teams and broader business
Develop and implement DevOps strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
Collaborate with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
Monitor system performance and implement security measures to protect data and infrastructure
Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies
Identify needed tools and talent to deliver on Nikola’s goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
Strong leadership and team management skills
In-depth knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience working with third party vendors in the DevOps, infrastructure, and security space
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus
