The Shop Valve Technician performs maintenance, assessment, repair, and testing on various types of oilfield valves. They must have the ability to rig/up down various types of related equipment. They do routine field maintenance of valves in the field as well as at the shop. Basic computer knowledge is necessary to perform data entry and to generate field reports. The workload consists of shop and hotshots to location if needed. They must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. A CDL license is preferred.Alice, TXDuties And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the repair and testing of various types of valvesPerform disassemble, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly and testing of valves at FESCO facilities and client locationsFollow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control and ASME National Board standards that apply to the jobThoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairsTravel to job sites if needed and adhere to all site safety performance requirementsCommunicate timely updates to management, co-workers, and customers to ensure timely and successful completion of job responsibilitiesWorks closely with co-workers, management and safety coordinator to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulationsOvernight stay may be requiredOther duties as assignedCompetenciesProblem Solving.
