APP ( NP or PA) - Specialty Practice- General Surgery

Job Description:Job SummaryA full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) opportunity is available within a General Surgery specialty practice. This role includes assisting two surgeons and managing an independent clinic. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.The provider will deliver comprehensive surgical patient care, support perioperative management, and collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist surgeons in clinical and perioperative patient careConduct independent clinic visits, including patient assessments and follow-upsObtain and document comprehensive patient histories and physical examinationsDevelop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physiciansOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studiesPrescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulationsProvide pre-operative and post-operative care and educationMaintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record systemsCollaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teamsQualificationsEducation:Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programExperience:None requiredLicensure/Certification:Current Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP) or Physician Assistant licenseRegistered Nurse (RN) licensure (if applicable to NP)DEA licenseAHA BLS-HCP certification requiredAdvanced Life Support certification preferredEligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulationsOther Requirements:Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare providersStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with electronic medical record systemsWorking Place:Lexington, Virginia, United StatesCompany :
