Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites.CORE COMPETENCIES:Action Oriented: Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.Ensures Accountability: Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.Customer Focus: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.Communicates Effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Plans and Aligns: Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.Responsibilities:Performs inspections of Fire Alarm and Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirementsTest all equipment after installation or repairs made to ensure performance of systemDaily communications with Project Leader and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspections, installations or project delays, requirements, and general status of jobsBuild and maintain relationships with customersUp-sell all IFP services to include inspections, sprinkler installation and monitoringWork with Project Leader, Schedule Coordinator and Office Administrative Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client (Ensure that work is completed so it can be billed in full)Travel as required to job sites as directed by your foreman and/or other leadersInventory and maintain organization of materials on the job siteMeet responsibilities to the customer, fellow workers and IFP by arriving on the job on time, ready to work, every dayAdhere to contractual starting and quitting times, including lunch and break periods.Personal cell phones will not be used during the workday except for designated break periodsMaintain accountability and respect tools provided by IFPComplete work at or below budgeted labor hours. Immediately inform your leaders of any delays or work stoppagesRespect the customer's property. Dispose of all trash properly and be aware of your surroundings to avoid property damageUnderstand and follow all customer, APi Group and IFP safety and security policies and proceduresObey all safe, reasonable, and legitimate leadership directivesQualifications:A minimum of 2 years or more in Special Hazards experience is a mustIt is preferred that candidates hold relevant manufacturers and state licenses for Fire Alarm License to inspect Suppression SystemsHave a strong knowledge of NFPA codes and industry standardsMaintain good habits and do not cut cornersStay current with code requirements and industry changesPC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and OutlookExcellent communication and organizational skills along with outstanding customer facing service and problem-solving skillsAble to inspect alarm and special gas systems, FM 200, Sapphire, CO2, high pressure and low pressureCommunicate effectively with your leaders regarding job status and any concernsKeep your work truck clean and organizedIn addition to required PPE, dress appropriately to represent yourself and IFP as a professional tradesman and organization, respectivelyValid state Driver's License requiredWilling to pass post-offer drug screen, reference and background checkEducation and Certifications:High school diploma or equivalentNICET Certification; OSHA Certification is a plusPrior suppression system manufacturer certification is a plusSpecific training in the fire industry preferredPhysical Requirements:* Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.* Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking.Compensation & Benefits:This role will be based out of our Plant City, FL branch.
