Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager

Kelli's Catering & Events is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team in Clearwater, FL. We are looking for a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a creative and organized individual with a passion for the culinary arts. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation of meals, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. The Sous Chef must also have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Follow recipes and presentation specifications. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Ensure food safety standards are met. Train and supervise kitchen staff. Assist in menu development and recipe creation. Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed. Work with the head chef to ensure quality control of all dishes. Assist in cost control initiatives. Experience: At least one year of experience as a line cook or kitchen staff member in a restaurant, hotel, hospital, or other commercial setting; sous chef experience preferred Knowledge of various cooking methods, equipment, and supplies Ability to work well under pressure and with multiple priorities on a daily basis Ability to act quickly and solve problems to ensure the safety of guests and team members Ability to react quickly to change in an otherwise fast-paced environment Positive attitude and passion for hospitality Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $21.00 per hour Shift: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Morning shift Supplemental Pay: Bonus opportunities Experience: Kitchen management: 1 year (Preferred) Cooking: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
