Students may work for a minimum of one semester or longer.Both positions are paid according to current academic standing and job classification.Location: Canton , ((filter2))What we are looking for:Yazaki is looking for a motivated Co-op to join our IT Applications team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization.What you will be doing:Daily Tasks:Develop IT applications supporting our Sales & Corporate Strategy organization.Learn the business processes for targeting and winning new business and monitoring program financials through to the end of production.Develop application solutions (in Salesforce / other systems) to eliminate manual steps and automate data and workflows.Application testing, training and support once the application is deployed to production.Demo standard application functionality or developed solutions to the user communitySupport user and license management including new user setup and permissions.Success Metrics:Demonstrate understanding of the current Sales processes / applications and steps through verbal and written communication.Develop a strong understanding of current applications within the company's strategy (Salesforce, Power Platform) and potential to expand into new areas (Low code, LLMs and AI).Develop a minimum of 4 application enhancements / automation steps to improve the current Sales process. Create a user manual and / or specification for the improvements.Provide reports as needed showing user adoption and usage across the various Sales related applications.Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Director, Data Analysts, Digital Applications team, as well as Business Unit and Functional Group members.What you will bring to the table:Education: Pursuing a degree program at an accredited institution during the Co-Op period.Relevant Background: Pursuing a degree related to the position (e.g., Associates, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field).Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.Commitment: Available to work 20 hours a week on-site (with flexibility depending on class schedule). Ability to work a minimum of 2 semesters.Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
