Construction Laborer
Job Overview:
We are seeking individuals who are looking for new opportunities in the construction industry. We offer a Paid training for Heavy Duty Equipment/Machinery . This trainings gains you a State approved Heavy Duty Equipment Certification, OSHA 10 Certification, Land surveying and material testing training, estimating and blue print reading training, Job placement support, and much more. Individuals must have liable transportation and a valid drivers license or in the process of acquiring drivers license. Felons are accepted and encouraged to apply. Upon completion of the Heavy Duty Equipment/Machinery training program the participant will be supported in job placed with a construction job site. As a Construction Laborer, you will assist in various construction projects, performing tasks such as demolition, excavation, and general labor. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
-Successfully complete training program
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites
- Perform manual labor tasks, including digging trenches, carrying materials, and operating hand tools
- Assist with the installation of construction materials, such as concrete forms and scaffolding
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the construction team to complete projects on time and within budget
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
-Meet requirements for the TWC adult WIOA program
-Liable transportation
-Ability to pass a drug screening
-Agree to a background check
- Successfully complete training program and get certification in Heavy Duty Machinery/Equipment to perform job
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license preferred
