Working closely with the Program Manager and Lead Systems Engineer, the successful candidate will support spacecraft programs beginning with AI&T planning through hardware building and testing. This role is ideal for candidates with a broad technical foundation across multiple engineering disciplines, strong analytical and communication skills, and a desire to contribute to team-based problem-solving in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Become part of a team dedicated to making a tangible contribution to our nation’s defense capabilities.This position is in Logan, UT.Key ResponsibilitiesSupports Program Manager and Lead Systems Engineer in technical management of projects through tracking, risks, requirements, interfaces, configurations, and related tasksGathers system-level requirements, evaluates design alternatives, performs systems analysis, and decomposes solutions into actionable engineering tasksWorks closely with technical leads to successfully implement design objectivesDesigns AI&T plans to meet program requirementsDetermines requirement verification approaches, then flows to specific tests (where applicable)Plans assembly and test sequencesIncorporates development units into the planSchedules and manages facilities, hardware resources, and personnelManages and performs activities for the assembly, integration, and testing (AI&T) of space hardware across software, hardware, thermal, structural, optical, electrical, and related domainsDirects/supports assembly of spaceflight articlePrepares test procedures and support hardwareExecutes tests, gathers artifacts, generates requirement verification reportsDevelops, maintains, and communicates regular program status reports for internal and external customers to monitor and report progress Required Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance3+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or 1+ year of relevant experience and a master’s degreeKnowledge of system engineering tools and analysis methodsProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)Strong verbal and written communication skillsPrevious experience leading teams of engineers and techniciansExperience writing and executing test plans and proceduresAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.Familiarity with test equipment, MGSE, and EGSEAbility to work effectively both individually and within a team environmentStrong technical problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail while still having a system-level perspectiveAbility to work occasional evening and weekend shifts when required for certain testingSome travel may be requiredPreferred QualificationsActive Top Secret security clearanceExperience with Agile methodologies to define requirements and develop systemsExperience with environment test processes (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMI/EMC, etc.)Experience with optics system calibration and testExperience with MBSE tools and processesHands on experience with spaceflight article design, fabrication, and testing Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and optical systems astrodynamics, navigation, propulsion, or guidance Experience with schedules and requirement tracking.
