Job Description About the Role:The House Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of residential properties to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for occupants and guests. This position involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and restocking supplies, to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation. The House Attendant will also be responsible for identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to anticipate the needs of the household and contribute to a smooth daily operation. Ultimately, the House Attendant helps create a pleasant living space that supports the well-being and satisfaction of residents and visitors alike.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or a related role.Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety procedures.Strong attention to detail and reliability.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in housekeeping or hospitality services.Experience working in private residences or luxury homes.Familiarity with laundry care for various fabrics and materials.Basic cooking or food handling skills.Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions independently.Responsibilities:Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing furniture and fixtures.Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linens.Restock household supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and kitchen essentials as needed.Ensure all rooms and common areas are tidy, organized, and presentable at all times.Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly to the property manager or homeowner.Assist with meal preparation or serving when required, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.Follow established health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for all household members.Support special household events or guest visits by preparing spaces and providing additional assistance as needed.Skills:The required skills such as attention to detail and knowledge of cleaning techniques are applied daily to ensure all areas of the home are maintained to a high standard. Physical stamina and time management skills enable the House Attendant to efficiently complete multiple tasks within scheduled timeframes. Preferred skills like familiarity with fabric care and basic cooking enhance the ability to provide comprehensive household support beyond cleaning. Communication skills are essential for understanding instructions and reporting issues clearly to homeowners or supervisors.
