Strategic Planner
Job DescriptionMetrics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Information Strategic Planner as we compete for an opportunity to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Operations Security and Preparedness (OSP). This on-site position is based in Washington, DC, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. This role will focus on driving strategic initiatives and supporting the development of long-term goals and objectives that align with VA's mission. The Strategic Planner will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of VA programs by providing key insights and recommendations.Responsibilities:Developing and implementing strategic plans to support VA’s business process modernization and long-term organizational goals. Facilitating the establishment of strategic goals, objectives, and performance measures that align with VA’s mission and vision. Supporting the development and integration of strategies that improve program outcomes and operational efficiency across VA OSP offices. Conducting gap analyses to assess current processes and recommend improvements to achieve desired future states. Collaborating with VA stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategic plans and ongoing projects, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies. Preparing reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate strategic objectives and progress to senior VA leadership. Leading workshops, focus groups, and other planning sessions to gather input from various stakeholders and ensure their needs are addressed in strategic planning efforts. Ensuring compliance with federal regulations and VA policies, particularly related to performance management and strategic planning. Conducting periodic reviews of strategic plans and making adjustments based on performance data, stakeholder feedback, and environmental changes. Supporting VA leadership in implementing the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) Modernization Act, ensuring improved linkage between strategic goals and programmatic outcomes. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Active TS/SCI clearance. Knowledge of Emergency Management Operations and PreparednessKnowledge of Security and Law EnforcementProven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and align them with organizational objectives. Strong analytical skills with experience conducting gap analyses, performance assessments, and risk management. Demonstrated experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Knowledge of Emergency Management Operations, Security, and Law Enforcement is preferred. Familiarity with VA systems and operations is preferred.
