CNC Lathe Machinist Weekend Shift
We are hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts. We have Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders.Weekend Shift is Friday to Sunday (3 days per week) 12-hour days (6am to 6:30pm). Offering competitive hourly rate based on skillset. Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerancesMust be able to work off of blueprintsMust be able to accurately use shop math in checking partsPerform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company recordsObserve safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe mannerRequirements:A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes. Experience with CNC Okuma a plusWorking knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversionsGeneral knowledge of G-code and M-codeFluent in GD&T and machining blueprint readingSkilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of partsOSHA 10-hourPhysical Demands:Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
