CFD / Process Engineer
XRG Technologies is seeking a talented CFD/Process engineer with expertise in combustion CFD modeling to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex thermal and combustion challenges and contributing to innovative solutions for the refining, petrochemical, and power industries. What you’ll do:
Build, run, and interpret CFD simulations of [TK1] combustion and heat transfer equipment to assess performance, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate design options.
Design and optimize fired heaters, boilers, and heat exchangers.
Perform heat transfer, combustion, and hydraulics calculations using tools such as FRNC-5 and XRG-proprietary software
Support field surveys, commissioning, and performance testing.
Collaborate on R&D and CFD methods improvement/development
What we’re looking for:
BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (MS preferred)
3+ years of CFD (Fluent, StarCCM+, etc.) experience in a related field
Experience with engineering heat transfer (fired heaters, boilers, heat exchangers, etc.) and/or combustion equipment
Familiarity with applicable API, ASME, ASTM standards
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
