Job DescriptionJob Title: GroundskeeperJob Location: Cincinnati, OHJob Summary:The Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor areas including lawns, gardens, parks, and other landscapes. This role ensures that these spaces are clean, safe, and visually appealing, enhancing the overall environment for residents, employees, or visitors. Key Responsibilities:Lawn and Garden Maintenance:Mow, trim, and edge lawns as needed. Plant, water, and tend to flowers, shrubs, and trees. Weed and mulch garden beds. Fertilize and aerate soil. Landscape Management:Maintain and repair irrigation systems. Install and maintain outdoor features like paths, fences, and playground equipment. Monitor and manage pest and disease control. Cleaning and Upkeep:Remove litter, debris, and leaves from outdoor areas. Clean and maintain outdoor furniture and equipment. Ensure that walkways, driveways, and other surfaces are free from hazards. Safety and Compliance:Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and property standards. Equipment Maintenance:Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, blowers, and trimmers. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and machinery. Seasonal Tasks:Prepare and winterize equipment for cold weather. Implement seasonal landscaping changes, such as planting spring flowers or preparing gardens for winter. Customer Service:Communicate effectively with residents, employees, or visitors regarding landscaping and maintenance issues. Address and resolve complaints or requests in a timely manner. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and landscape design. Familiarity with operation and maintenance of landscaping tools and machinery. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
