Chief Engineer

Facilities Service SupervisorResponsible for leading a team that must respond to all facilities service calls. Along with the team the Supervisor must perform preventative maintenance, paint, and fix necessary repairs to the hotel and restaurant equipment.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOther duties may be assigned by the General Manager.General Maintenance: 60%Perform all duties and responsibilities of a maintenance technician.Ensure that after hours access into secured hotel areas are properly authorized, monitored, and documentedHandle deliveries received during non-business hoursWork with outside agencies (i.e., police) and contractorsCoordinate emergency situationsCheck surveillance when requested to assist with investigationsEnsure all required repairs and maintenance is performed using proper equipmentPerform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment, fixtures, and other assetsPerform daily walk through of the propertyAssist guests in the event of an emergencyProvide standard security 24 hours per dayGuest Services: 30%Review hotel status and follow up actions with the previous shift employeeEnsure all non-hotel personnel arriving at employee entrance are properly escorted while on propertyProvide escorts for guests or employees, if requestedInvestigate all emergenciesPatrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions takenResolve safety hazard situationsEnsure all guest room doors are secured; assist guests with room accessInvestigate suspicious persons on hotel propertyConduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guest complaints; complete documents reportsRespond to the scene of guest/employee accident promptly; administers first aid/CPR; AED (only if certified); communicate specified information to EMS/medical personnel as requiredAdministrative Tasks: 10%Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/standard operating procedures/standardsMaintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intendedReview shift reports and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shiftContact the Maintenance Manager immediately for emergency situationsMaintain confidentiality of all security and hotel reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals
