Quality inspector
Are you skilled with welding inspections within an industrial setting? Do you have experience reading from blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings? We are in need of a 1st shift Quality Inspector to join our team in New Haven! We look forward to hearing from you! salary: $52,000 - $54,080 per year shift: First work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM education: High School Responsibilities Perform visual weld inspections using engineering drawings, weld symbols, and other job criteriaVerify weld specs including size, continuity, and measurements against job specsChecking welds for cracks and other defects based on quality standards Quality documentation.Communication of any production issues directly with department leads and supervisorsIncoming, In-Process & Final InspectionVerifying dimensional data, fitting, alignment, and overall product quality.Use of inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement toolsInitiate and support nonconformance reports (NCRs) and containment activities.Assist with Material Review Board (MRB) processes by providing inspection findings and supporting documentation Verify calibration status of inspection tools and measuring equipmentHandle internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain organized inspection areas and promote safe work practices The essential functions of this role include: working in a non-temperature controlled environment manual lifting up to 50lbs Skills Weld Inspections Micrometers Calipers Quality Documentation NCRs Material Requirement Plan/MRP Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspection Product Inspection Providing Feedback Blueprints Schematics Engineering Drawings Weld Symbols Visual Inspections Precision Measurements Gauges Calibration Qualifications Years of experience: 2 years Experience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
