In this role, you’ll leverage your extensive expertise in Workers’ Compensation claims to deliver exceptional customer service while managing claims for our policyholders. You’ll play a key role in driving positive outcomes by identifying high-risk exposures, facilitating return-to-work opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to reduce policyholders’ total cost of risk. As a claims team member, you’ll also provide strategic insights, and support data-driven decision-making to improve injury recovery times and optimize claims processes.This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of insurance and technology, contributing to the evolution of a tech-enabled workers’ compensation solution.What You'll DoClaims Management & Risk MitigationManage claims for Kinetic policyholders, including claim reviews, reserve analysis, and closure strategies to minimize policyholders’ total cost of risk.Identify high-risk policyholders and collaborate with the Insurance Operations team to implement risk mitigation strategies.Facilitate return-to-work programs to reduce claim durations and improve injury recovery outcomes.Customer Service & Stakeholder SupportDeliver best-in-class customer service to policyholders and internal teams to enhance claims processes and program effectiveness.Provide on-demand consultations to policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders to address claims-related concerns.Data Analysis & ReportingUpdate and maintain accurate records, reports, and applications to ensure data consistency.Analyze claims data and performance metrics, providing actionable insights to management.Team Collaboration & Special ProjectsSupport product improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and opportunities for optimization.Lead or contribute to special projects that align with broader company goals.What You’ve DoneAt least 4 years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience, including managing lost time claims, litigated claims, and conducting loss reserve analysesProven experience conducting claim reviews directly with policyholders and their agentsKnowledge or experience with Return-to-Work protocols and programsDemonstrated ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department, across the organization, and with external customersStrong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering presentationsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with team members at all levelsProficiency in Google Suite (e.g. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)Bonus Points ForExperience working at an Insurtech company or MGAExperience plotting and visualizing data in a business intelligence platform such as Tableau or LookerWhat we offerThis is a remote position (candidate must be a full time U.S. resident)Equity GrantMedical, dental, and vision insurance20 vacation days per year9 federal holidays off Parental LeavePre-tax 401k contributionHSA with compatible health plansFREE: Health AdvocateFREE: Telehealth MembershipFREE: OneMedical AccountCompensationThe base pay range for this role is $90,000 – $100,000 per year.
