New Business & Private Client Specialist

We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented professional to serve in a hybrid New Business & Private Client Specialist role within our Private Client Insurance division. This position bridges the gap between new business execution and ongoing client relationship management, ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience through the full client lifecycle.This individual will lead the end-to-end new business process while also maintaining responsibility for a defined book of high-net-worth clients. Success in this role requires both technical expertise and a service mindset — the ability to design sophisticated insurance programs and deliver proactive, relationship-driven account management and risk management consultation across multiple time zones.Key Responsibilities:New Business & Placement·       Manage the full lifecycle of new business submissions, from intake through binding·       Market accounts to insurance carriers; negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage enhancements·       Analyze quotes and structure comprehensive, competitive insurance programs·       Build tailored, client-ready proposals that clearly articulate coverage strategy and value·       Partner with Relationship Managers and/or producers to position and present solutions·       Coordinate binding, issuance, and all required documentation in a timely and compliant mannerAccount Management & Client Service·       Serve as the day-to-day contact for a select portfolio of private clients·       Oversee policy servicing including endorsements, coverage adjustments, and document requests·       Ensure accuracy and completeness of all client records and policy documentation·       Deliver a high-touch service experience aligned with private client expectations·       Renewal & Retention Strategy·       Lead the renewal process for assigned accounts, including remarketing when appropriate·       Proactively identify coverage gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities for program enhancement·       Develop and present renewal strategies that reinforce value and strengthen client retention·       Monitor retention metrics and contribute to overall client satisfaction and growth goalsRelationship & Carrier Management·       Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriting partners to drive optimal outcomes·       Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution·       Act as a trusted resource for both clients and colleagues on coverage strategy and market conditionsProcess Improvement & Execution·       Manage multiple priorities across new business and renewal pipelines with precision·       Identify and implement opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and client deliverables·       Contribute to the development of best-in-class proposal materials and service standardsQualifications & Experience•       3–5+ years of experience operating in the private client segment, within a retail brokerage environment•       Demonstrated experience in both new business placement and account management•       Strong understanding of high-net-worth insurance products and carriers, to include proficiency in the utilization of Excess & Surplus lines and MGA solutions•       Proven ability to market accounts and negotiate effectively with carriers•       Experience managing renewals and driving client retention strategies•       Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems (EPIC preferred)•       Active insurance licenseCore Competencies·       Client Advisory: Ability to build trust and deliver thoughtful, proactive guidance·       Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of coverage design and underwriting dynamics·       Execution & Ownership: Takes full accountability for both new business and in-force accounts·       Relationship Management: Skilled at navigating both client and carrier relationships·       Attention to Detail: High standards for accuracy, presentation, and follow-throughWhat Sets This Role ApartThis hybrid role is designed for someone who wants broader ownership of the client experience — not just winning the business, but retaining and growing it. You’ll play a critical role in shaping both the initial impression and the long-term relationship, with meaningful visibility and impact across the organization.Salary RangeCompensation for this position is expected to fall within the range of $90,000 to $125,000 annually; however, final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
