Company introductionWe are seeking talented professionals to join our cloud infrastructure and engineering team, where you will design, build, and deploy scalable cloud-based solutions that support enterprise operations.Role summary / purposeAs a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and deploying cloud-based infrastructure and managed services to achieve scalability, flexibility, and cost efficiencies for private and public cloud systems. You will build resilient and scalable solutions in Java and cloud-native environments while adhering to industry best practices and company standards.Key responsibilitiesDesign and deploy opinionated cloud environments and platforms aligned with enterprise architecture and security requirements while meeting business-critical needs of internal customers.Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, solution architects, and product teams to design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions that meet scalability, availability, performance, and security requirements.Monitor system usage to predict future needs and ensure the organization scales its IT resources appropriately.Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code templates for configuring and provisioning complex cloud resources including identity services, virtual private clouds, gateways, SSL, Kubernetes clusters, and NoSQL data stores.Integrate enterprise security and disaster recovery policies in cloud infrastructure configurations to ensure data protection and compliance with industry regulations.Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based storage solutions ensuring data availability, security, and cost efficiency.Assist in the execution of technology strategy and implementation of engineering roadmaps, including optimizing cloud expenditure, maximizing resource usage, and ensuring high availability across required geographic regions.Evaluate new and emerging cloud technologies for incorporation into existing systems and assist in modernization efforts to prioritize and execute migrations of on-premises services to cloud systems.Develop and maintain services with ongoing support and maintenance responsibilities.Generate metrics, perform user access authorization, maintain passwords, and build deployment pipelines.Requirements - education & experienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred)3-5 years of development experienceAt least 2-3 years of experience building applications in microservice product architectureRequired skillsExpertise in core technologies including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, Google Cloud Platform, and RESTful APIsExperience with MongoDB, relational databases, and NoSQL solutionsSolid understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation in a GitHub-based development workflowProficiency with canary deployments and API-related technologies such as JSON, REST, Swagger, and HoppscotchKnowledge of Continuous Delivery processes and tools, testing frameworks, and practices (preferably GitHub, Terraform, Tekton)Nice-to-have / preferred skillsAbility to grasp concepts quickly and implement learning rapidlyPassion for engineering excellenceStrong communication skills and ability to listen to othersGood knowledge of testing and security methodologies and tools such as SonarQube, CheckMarx, and DynaTraceExperience with Agile Project Management tools such as JIRA or equivalentEqual opportunity statementWe encourage applications from candidates whose experience may look different from what we've outlined.
