Warehouse Associate 1Local company is looking for warehouse associates. This position will be responsible for performing tasks related to warehouse inventory. This includes, but is not limited to, processing incoming inventory, shelving processed inventory, shipping orders from inventory, and performing routine inventory maintenance functions.Job functions include:Picking/Binning/PackingShelvingGeneralEssential functions include:Demonstrated strong attention to detailThe ability to work well independently and as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to use a computer, tablet, scan gun, and various inventory management programsThe ability to focus on a single task for extended periods of timeThe ability to use a pallet jack, baler, box cutter, conveyors, and other tools in a safe mannerThe ability to use a computer to check email and utilize the internetThe ability to stand on feet for 8-10 hours at a timeThe ability to safely climb step stools and laddersThe ability to consistently lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift, including reaching, stooping and bendingThe positive attitude of a team playerThe ability to work in a fast-paced, fun, exciting, and entrepreneurial environmentAn understanding and commitment to the values and mission of Better World BooksA willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environmentThe ability to grasp new concepts and teach them to others through hands-on instructionPassion for our mission and a strong desire to provide excellent service to our customersA high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthinessStrong work ethic and sense of initiativeQualifications, training, and experience:High school diploma or G.E.D. preferredOne-year continuous work history preferred
