Senior Network Technician

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Network Technician to lead and support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure. This role is highly hands-on and focuses on deploying and supporting network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points across multiple environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with the ability to mentor junior staff and take ownership of network deployments and troubleshooting efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesLead installation, configuration, and deployment of network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access pointsPerform rack-and-stack, structured cabling coordination, labeling, and equipment documentationConfigure and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments, including VLANs, trunking, and routingTroubleshoot complex network issues across wired and wireless environmentsSupport network upgrades, migrations, and hardware refresh projectsValidate network performance and ensure stability post-deploymentMaintain and update network diagrams, asset inventories, and technical documentationServe as an escalation point for network-related issuesMentor and guide junior network techniciansCollaborate with network engineers, systems teams, and vendorsParticipate in on-call rotations and scheduled after-hours maintenance as requiredRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in network support, network technician, or network operations rolesStrong hands-on experience installing and supporting switches, routers, firewalls, and access pointsIn-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and routing conceptsExperience working with enterprise networking platforms (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issuesExperience working in data center, campus, or multi-site environmentsExcellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills
