In this role, you’ll: Design and manage municipal and county projects Own the details, bringing your technical expertise into every step of the process Connect with clients, foster relationships, and build trust across the region Drive business development, contributing to proposals, meetings, and strategic growth Manage budgets, timelines, and resources with a sharp eye for quality and results Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical professionals through all project phases At Interstate Engineering, we pride ourselves on being professional, reliable, and—most importantly—relatable. Knowledge of the Following is Preferred: Site development Knowledge of state and federal codes and regulatory agency requirements Design and rehabilitation of water distribution systems Design and rehabilitation of sewage collection systems Preparation of Preliminary Engineering Reports for water and wastewater facilities Experience with municipal & county Understanding of municipal, county, and state governments Interest in transportation, hydraulics, or municipal engineering Stormwater collection and stormwater detention/retention/reuse systems Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field Licensed Professional Engineer in North Dakota or ability to obtain within two years Technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices Experience with project management Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere is vital Good driving record and valid driver’s license. Ability to use civil engineering software such as AutoCAD Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
