Apply through gbsdjobs.comJob SummaryThe "Program Director" will work with the Director of Student Support Services and other Program Directors to implement and support Special Education programs and 504 Plan compliance in the Gresham-BarlowSchool District.CompensationContract 235 Days; Start Date October 2026.Salary Range: $123,628 – $139,145 plus benefits package.This position is not part of a bargaining unit and reports directly to the Superintendent.Essential Job FunctionsOversee all program development and operations for the assigned programs under the guidance of the Director of Student Support Services:Oversight IncludesAttending special services team meetings in schools, as neededLocating needed resources for staff and students beyond what is available in schoolsObserving students in classrooms and recommending effective interventionsWorking with principals on assigned program area development, planning and supportSupporting and assisting in training educational assistants in assigned programsCommunicating with other agencies and individuals on behalf of assigned programs, as neededArranging for and providing inservice training based upon program needsDeveloping, implementing and training on policies and procedures in assigned program areasWorking with Director of Student Support Services to identify program needsBudget planning for assigned programsDesigning, planning and coordinating staff development opportunities for licensed and classified staffCoordinating , meeting with, and guiding district connection with other districts and MESD for assigned areasOverseeing educational assistant support for students with disabilities in the general education settingServing as a resource regarding legal issues and for conflict resolution purposesAt the request of the principal, case manager, or Director of Student Support Services handling cases having unique demandsEvaluating certified and classified staff for assigned programs and providing input to the Director of Student Support Services and school administration in the hiring, supervision and evaluation of licensed and classified staff in assigned programs not evaluated by the Office of Student Support ServicesPerforming other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support ServicesEssential Job Requirement – QualificationsHolds an Oregon Administrative license or has the potential of earning one by start dateA minimum of 3 years experience working with students with disabilitiesKnowledge of Regular and Special Education LawEffective and demonstrated skills in:LeadershipPlanning, development and evaluating special education programsCommunication, both in writing and orallyConflict resolutionMediationInterpersonal skills with individuals, teams and groups (student, parent, educator, specialist, administrator and support staff)Working collaboratively with various groups within the school and in the communityProviding curriculum and instructional strategy consultationPresenting to small and large groups for staff developmentTime managementProblem-solving and development of solutionsPlanning and facilitating meetingsGaining consensus in groups and among varied audiencesNote: This is not necessarily an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, functions or working conditions associated with the job.
