Benefits available Conversion Salary: $140,000 to $145,000 range annually, plus benefits About the Opportunity System One IT is staffing a 6-month contract-to-hire opening for a hands-on Web Developer / AI Automation Developer to modernize our digital presence and create a smarter lead intake experience for prospective clients at a growing Maryland law firm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats: web development, user experience, marketing technology, and AI-assisted software development. You'll lead the redesign of our public-facing website, build advanced intake forms with conditional logic, and leverage AI-powered development tools, including Claude, to accelerate development and automation initiatives. What You'll Be Doing Website Redesign & Development Lead the redesign and modernization of the firm's website Improve user experience, navigation, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness Collaborate with firm leadership on branding, messaging, and conversion optimization Optimize website performance, SEO, and page speed Client Intake & Lead Funnel Development Design and implement sophisticated intake forms with multi-step workflows Build conditional logic that dynamically routes prospects based on case type, geography, urgency, and qualification criteria Create automated lead routing and notification workflows Improve conversion rates through efficient user journeys HubSpot Administration & Integration Configure and optimize HubSpot forms, workflows, pipelines, and automations Integrate website forms directly into HubSpot CRM Build lead-scoring models and automated nurturing workflows Develop reporting dashboards to track marketing and intake performance AI-Assisted Development & Automation Utilize Claude and other AI development tools to accelerate software delivery Explore opportunities to automate internal workflows and business processes Assist in developing AI-enhanced client intake and knowledge management solutions Recommend emerging technologies and best practices Technical Ownership Maintain website security and ongoing enhancements Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements Manage integrations between marketing, CRM, and intake systems Document solutions and processes Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional web development experience Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM, Forms, and Workflows Experience building complex forms utilizing conditional logic Strong front-end development skills using: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript Responsive Web Design Experience redesigning and launching business websites Experience working with AI-assisted development tools, specifically Claude Understanding of lead generation and conversion optimization practices Experience integrating websites with CRM platforms Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting law firms, professional services, or consultative sales organizations Experience with HubSpot CMS React, Next.js, or modern JavaScript framework experience API integration experience SEO and website analytics knowledge Google Analytics experience Marketing automation experience Familiarity with legal client intake workflows Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is someone who: Enjoys building things from scratch Has experience redesigning websites that generate leads Understands customer acquisition funnels Is excited to leverage AI tools like Claude as part of their daily workflow Can independently own projects while partnering closely with business stakeholders Wants the opportunity to convert into a long-term employee Key Technologies Required HubSpot Claude HTML/CSS/JavaScript Website CMS Platforms CRM Integrations Nice to Have React Next.js Node.js Google Analytics SEO Tools Zapier HubSpot CMS System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
