This is a turnkey role for a knowledgeable professional who understands turf care, chemical application, and equipment calibration. Position OverviewAs a Fertilizer Technician, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and herbicide treatments to commercial properties and residential turf areas across the south metro. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of turfgrass health and treatment practices .You will operate spray trucks, ride-on spreaders, and push spreaders while ensuring all applications meet state regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines . Key Responsibilities Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and turf treatments to commercial and residential propertiesMix and calibrate application equipment including sprayers and fertilizer spreaders (push and ride-on)Identify turf health issues and make appropriate treatment applicationsOperate a spray truck to travel between service locations throughout the south metroMaintain detailed records of materials used, application times, and site visitsPerform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and washingFollow all safety protocols and environmental compliance guidelinesCollaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service and timely completion of routesRequired Qualifications Minnesota Pesticide Applicator License Category A (Core)Category E (Turf & Ornamentals)Prior experience in fertilizer or pesticide application is requiredStrong knowledge of mixing chemicals, calibration, and turf treatment programsExperience operating sprayers and fertilizer spreadersAbility to identify turfgrass issues and apply appropriate treatmentsClean driving record to operate company spray trucksStrong attention to detail and organizationCompensation & Benefits Competitive PayHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceRetirement PlanMinnesota Earned Sick & Safe TimeMinnesota Paid Family Medical LeaveCompany pays for annual pesticide license renewalsWhy Work With ProScapes?
