Must be able to exercise judgement while addressing customer disputes or issues on the contract terms and pricing; and must therefore be able to read and understand basic contract termsMonitoring his or her assigned accounts and determine when the customer’s payment patterns that require engagement by Credit or SalesResponsible for managing all outstanding receivables and determining when operations or credit should be engaged to avoid write-offsMust be able to effectively communicate verbally and by email with sales, operations, customers, legal and customers. Must be able to establish a working relationship with the customer to allow timely resolution of issuesAssisting the Corporate A/R group in developing new processes and consolidating remote A/R accounting groups, to result in cost savings and more consistent and accurate A/R functionsMust have a full understanding of the Company’s ERP system to effectively utilize the query tools, make effective use of the processes and procedures imbedded within the system and should be able to assess and recommend where automation opportunities exist by working with the client for electronic invoicing (and take the lead to achieve this automation)Schedule and attend meetings with customer representatives to ensure that the customer’s needs and requirements are being addressedManaging and scheduling all responsibilities and tasks to meet month-end close deadlinesCollaborating with management and system specialist in the design, development, and installation of various software solutions to enable the department to effectively perform its function with optimal resourcesInterfacing with internal and external auditorsAssisting with special projects within accounting and cross-functionally with other departmentsRequirements:EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferredEXPERIENCE: At least 1 year of experience in equivalent roleOTHER:JDE, GetPaid, and ImageNow experience preferredKnowledge of accounting concepts and must be able to produce high quality output (invoices, account reconciliations, documented collection calls)Customer service orientation and negotiation skillsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as superior attention to detailAbility to function in a fast-paced, team-based environmentAdvanced organizational skills, a high level of self-motivation, ability to work independently/efficiently in a high-pressure environment, and a proven ability to manage multiple, competing, priorities through to completionAbility to work effectively with a wide variety of people, strong communication skills, both written and oralWork Environment:The requirements are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
