This is a remote position with occasional travel to our onsite location in Brooklyn, NY. Applicants residing within travel distance are preferred to facilitate in-person collaboration when necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for full lifecycle development, including gathering requirements, architecture design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Working closely with Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers, Project Managers, and stakeholders, the developer will ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions aligned with industry standards and security frameworks. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. Demonstrated experience working on large-scale enterprise applications, especially within government or public sector environments, is highly desirable. Essential technical expertise includes proficiency in .NET Core, SQL Server, API development, ASP.NET, JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React JS, jQuery, CRM systems like Salesforce, and cloud technologies including Azure Data Factory, Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps toolchains is necessary. Candidates must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex business rules and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Adaptability to shifting project priorities and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance .NET-based applications across multiple DOE systems, including Galaxy, Data Systems, and Compliance Systems.Build APIs, microservices, integrations, and automated workflows to modernize existing processes and improve system efficiency.Implement end-to-end development activities utilizing Agile methodologies, actively participating in multi-sprint delivery cycles.Create and maintain application architecture, reusable components, frameworks, and coding standards to ensure consistency and quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams during requirements analysis, technical design sessions, and sprint planning to align development efforts with business goals.Perform comprehensive testing, including unit, integration, and functional testing, while preparing test plans and remediating identified issues.Support secure application development by adhering to DOE cybersecurity protocols, including encryption, authentication, and data validation requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to ensure high application availability and optimal performance.Develop detailed system documentation, deployment guides, and technical specifications to facilitate maintenance and knowledge transfer.Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior team members to foster skill development and maintain high coding standards.BenefitsGrabJobs offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and professional growth of our employees.
