That’s why in 2024, The Denver Post named Shaw to the “Top Work Place” list for the fourth time. #WeAreShaw means more than just working at Shaw, it represents the diversity, safety culture and community of Shaw.Duties And ResponsibilitiesAs directed by the PM, perform any of the duties of the Project Engineer (PE) as well as assist with the following:Subcontractor / vendor selection and buy-outBudget setup, including sub jobs and rate verificationProject specific modifications to Shaw standard procedures and subcontracts as approved by the Construction ManagerInternal reporting, including monthly job cost forecastExternal reportingProcurement of permitsProcurement of bonds & insuranceOAC meeting facilitation and meeting minutesApproval and proper coding of all subcontractor / vendor paymentsReview, approve and manage misc. vendor and labor expendituresPreparation of Owner billing, processing of such, and follow up on collectionsReview and approval of subcontractor changesPreparation of changes to the Owner, and facilitation of change management processOwner communications, including all change / delay noticesOversight of submittal processOversight of LEED or other green programOversight of clarification / document control processOversight of schedule managementOversight of quality control processOversight of safety programDevelop and implement job turnover planDevelop and implement contract closeout planFacilitate dispute resolutionMentor PE as directed by PMOther duties: Participate in company training, assist with pre-construction (including estimating and quantification), participate in presentations and assist in development of proposals, participate in industry organizations.Education Requirements: Four-year college degree in engineering, architecture or construction management with at least 4 years of commercial building construction experience required.
