Job DescriptionStress EngineerWichita, KSContract position Job Description:Perform Static, fatigue and dynamic stress analysis for Aero structuresExperience in Fleet Support (Preparing repair schemes, performing static & fatigue analysis)Use of classical hand calculation approach to analyze both primary and secondary structuresRepair knowledge, selection of failure criteriaExperience in metallic and composite structures/components. Use of Finite Element Methods for load extraction and to solve complex engineering problemsParticipate in review meetings with Client, Customer and Suppliers. Engineering Stress report generation and review. Interact with customer; prepare Scope of Work, laydown the execution methodology to ensure that the projects executed meet the customer requirements. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineeringAt least 8 -12 years of experience in Aerospace Industry as a Stress Engineer. Comprehensive knowledge Stress analysis of Aero structures, Nacelle and EBU systems. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standardsHands-on experience of using Boeing Tools, Boeing Design ManualsFleet Support Experience – BoeingWorking knowledge of 14 CFR Part 26Strong oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of Aerospace industry and standardsExperienced in PATRAN, NASTRAN, FEMAP, CanvasExperience in MRB and SRMExperience in CATIA V5, EnoviaAbility to excel in a hybrid virtual / on-site environment in a highly dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere.
