One of the great benefits of working as the Director of Retail Sales is that you get to be a leader and a motivator for a cheesy and foodie family in 2 picturesque locations.A typical day in the life of a Springside Cheese Director of Retail Experience looks like:You wake up and bleed motivation, leadership, and organization. You will ensure smooth operation amongst retail staff, constantly exploring solutions to enhance efficiency, and, most of all, the retail customer experience.The Job Is For You IfYou have a hunger for leadership and cheese. You can champion a culture of exceptional customer service and hospitality across both retail locations.You can develop action plans and directly instruct and motivate the retail team for maximum customer satisfaction. You can solicit customer feedback to understand our consumers and community needs. You’re cool under pressure as you seek productive solutions during busy, or stressful situations. You can plan and coordinate different store merchandising considering the difference between markets. You communicate clearly and have an eye for efficiency. You have experience using a point-of-sale terminal (POS) and can train all retail staff to ensure accurate sales transactions.You can monitor customer flow from start to finish to ensure customers receive our standard of experience excellence. You can support retail marketing efforts by generating content for recipes, product pairings, events both on and off-site, and in-store promotions. You can enhance employee engagement by building a high-performance environment that inspires and encourages continuous improvement through regular supervision and ongoing performance reviews.You can represent Springside Cheese at events and develop your team to embody the company's mission, vision, and values when you are absent.You can solve issues using critical thinking skills and are not afraid to think outside of the box. You can split your time between our two retail locations, ensuring a consistent presence and hands-on leadership approach.You are motivated and will take ownership of the time you spend with us in truly making a difference.RequirementsYou’ll Have (Required Qualifications):The willingness to travel up to 50% of your time (for events, conferences, and between our locations in WI and CO)2+ years' experience in managing customer-facing functions3+ years’ experience in sales and/or customer serviceExcellent leadership abilities with a proven track record of building and developing staffExceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsA true passion for outstanding customer serviceWe Would Like You To Have (Preferred Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in business management, related field, or equivalent experienceServSafe certification and/or Food Management certificationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)Joining our family doesn’t require a degree in cheese but rather a degree in business, management, hospitality, culinary arts, or something in that realm.
