What You'll Be Brewing Operate yard truck in a safe manner during numerous roll-on/roll-off procedures daily involving loaded and empty containers. Drive and operate yard truck in a safe manner, under 22 mph in and around the plant and storage lot/staging area. Be cognizant that the yard truck vehicle operation is a low mileage severe duty function that requires particular attention to preventive maintenance checks and services as well as actual scheduled vehicle maintenance. Regularly inspect vehicle and report any vehicle maintenance issues. Operate locomotive in safe and efficient manner. Duties include staging of railcars at loading docks, liquid adjunct steaming station, and inside grain handling building. When operating locomotive, operator must have knowledge of proper rail switch alignments and rail condition verification. Operator will also be required to perform duties of a rail brakeman. Requires solid communication skills with locomotive engineer and knowledge of proper switch alignment. Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the plant needs. Must function and interact on a daily basis with plant personnel and comply with plant safety requirements. Communicate with dispatch, operations, and plant personnel using cellular telephone or 2-way radio. Requires ability to update transactions in SAP. Responsible for and dedicated to personal and team safety in relation to completion of tasks and duties. Responsible for and dedicated to quality in relation to completion of tasks and duties. Responsible for any other duties and tasks as assigned by management. Key Ingredients Possess a high school diploma or equivalent 2+ years experience working as yard truck driver Safety awareness Ability to work in outdoor climate and be exposed to weather conditions Ability to work full-time, all shifts, all schedules, and all days of the week to include weekends and holidays. Ability to be called in for emergency coverage and work overtime as necessary. CDL Class A License is preferred
