Senior Accounting Manager
DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager, leads our TYR North American accounting team operations. Beyond overseeing full-cycle accounting for our US entities, you will lead and mentor an onsite team to excellence. We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in the details of deep reconciliations and the complexities of project accounting, ensuring our operational reporting is precise.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Reporting and Closing: Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.General Ledger & Reconciliations: Maintain the general ledger, perform complex reconciliations and verify data accuracy.Produce daily, monthly, and ad hoc cost, variance, and production reports, including gross margin analysis by customer, part, and job.Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.Financial Analysis: Assist with budgeting and forecastingManagement: Supervise, train and review the work of the staff accounting teamSupport internal controls, cost accounting policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards.Partner cross-functionally to identify inefficiencies, recommend process improvements, and enhance cost transparency.Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership.Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectivesPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS/ FUNCTIONAL SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES:5 or more years in accounting or financial analysis or business administration.Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.Certification: CPA or CMA is preferred but not requiredExperience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze and manage large data sets.Familiarity with manufacturing environments. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and procedures in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Team player with a proactive and adaptable approach.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independentlyExcellent organizational skillsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administrationMust be at least 18 years or olderPrevious experience in a manufacturing operations environment a plus.
