Software Test Analyst

DescriptionOCH Technologies is looking for an experienced Software Test Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of a critical government web application undergoing modernization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, automation, and quality assurance processes, with experience in both legacy and modern software environments.LocationRemoteCore Responsibilities & DutiesDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for legacy and new system components.Validate application and system performance against technical requirements.Design and implement automated test suites to ensure system reliability and performance.Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve software defects.Verify data integrity during database migrations and system updates.Conduct security and compliance testing to ensure adherence to government standards.Document and report test results, including detailed bug reports.Participate in code reviews from a quality assurance perspective.Assist in defining and improving QA processes and methodologies.RequirementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, math, science, or related field.ExperienceMinimum of at least three (3) years of professional software testing experience.Strong, demonstrated experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or equivalent).Experience writing test reports, test plans, and test procedures that capture all results for each test activity.Experience testing web applications and database-driven systems.Familiarity with government software development and testing processes.Security Clearance Requirement Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level security clearance.Preferred QualificationsExperience with testing Oracle PL/SQL based systems.Knowledge of NoSQL database testing.Familiarity with testing in microservices-based environments.Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks testing.Experience developing automation for web application benchmarking and scripted testing.Experience testing systems in a closed-network environment.Experience using TestRail.Other Required Skills And AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to think critically.Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.Good understanding of software development life cycle.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Adaptability to changing technologies and requirements.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Utilization of Atlassian products including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.BenefitsPaid time off and holidays.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid parental leave.Short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance – employer paid.401(k).Additional voluntary life insurance.Tuition reimbursement.More!E-Verify Participation: OCH Technologies, LLC is a participant of E-Verify to verify the identity and employment eligibility of newly hired employees.Veteran's Preference and Accessibility Statement: At OCH Technologies, we deeply respect and appreciate the unique skills and experiences that veterans bring to our team.
