Activities Director
Arcadia Senior Living is looking for an Activities Director for our amazing life enrichment program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines.
· Plan, organize, and implement a program of therapeutic activities designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interest of residents
· Facilitate Resident Services programs and activities as designated by the administrator and resident service plans. This may include teaching classes to residents, group or individual activities.
· Maintain and document resident participation and preferences
· Coordinating monthly calendar, event planning, resident’s birthdays, emergency announcements, etc.
· From time to time may be required to accompany residents on outings for activities or appointments.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as an outing chaperone
Assist residents with virtual meetings
Set up and ensure events run smoothly
Create eye catching, attractive flyers for events and marketing as needed
Schedule meetings for both residents and management
Assist residents with technology (phones, televisions, music, etc.), be available to troubleshoot as needed
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· A minimum of a high school diploma
· Experience working with seniors, preferably memory care
· Ability to communicate professionally with residents, visitors and co-workers
· Warm, caring and outgoing approach
· Creativity
· Problem solving skills
· Fun and friendly
· Reliable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
