Software Engineer III – Medical Device (C#, Windows, Algorithm Development) We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop and enhance software for medical devices. This role focuses on Windows-based software (C#/.NET) that interfaces with embedded hardware, patient-facing GUIs, and cloud connectivity via Azure. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing software in a regulated medical device environment and understands design controls and software lifecycle processes (IEC 62304). Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Windows and embedded Windows applications for medical devices. Develop and refine control algorithms to enhance product performance. Support existing systems from manufacturing transfer through end-of-life, with focus on reliability and continuous improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, research, and quality teams. Troubleshoot, integrate, and debug software-hardware interactions. Contribute to requirements, architecture, and design documentation under design control. Ensure all work complies with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and international medical device regulations. Top Skills & Experience C#/.NET development on Windows and embedded Windows platforms. Medical device software development experience (required). Algorithm design and optimization. Cloud connectivity (Azure) and device communication protocols (RS232, SPI, USB). Strong understanding of software design patterns, multi-threaded applications, and PID control. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 8+ years of engineering design experience, including 5+ years in C#/.NET Windows development. 3+ years developing software in a regulated medical device environment or equivalent. Working knowledge of IEC 62304 and design control documentation. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Self-motivated and results-driven, with proven ability to deliver on time.
