Front-End NextJS Web Developer Client: Charles Schwab — Creative Center (C2) Contract Length: 18 months – W2 Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid, 4 days/week in office) About the Team Creative Center (C2) is Schwab's in-house creative and marketing technology team, responsible for the digital experiences that support Schwab's brand and business goals across web properties. The Role We're looking for a front-end engineer who can build enterprise web experiences using NextJS, React, TypeScript, and Sanity CMS — translating design and business requirements into accessible, performant digital experiences, in close partnership with designers, content authors, and business analysts. What You'll Do Develop and maintain enterprise web experiences using NextJS, React, TypeScript, and Sanity CMS Build reusable, scalable UI components supporting Schwab's digital design system Translate UX/visual designs into responsive, accessible, performant web experiences Configure and support content models, schemas, and Studio setup within Sanity CMS Develop API integrations and dynamic content sources for personalized customer experiences Optimize for performance, accessibility (WCAG), SEO, and cross-device/browser behavior Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies Troubleshoot application defects, styling issues, content rendering, and performance concerns Create and maintain technical documentation and implementation guidance Collaborate across Marketing, C2, MarTech, and Engineering teams Required Qualifications Hands-on production experience building web applications with React and NextJS Experience developing reusable, maintainable front-end components Experience integrating Sanity or another headless CMS into a front-end environment Working knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript patterns Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and semantic HTML Exposure to REST and/or GraphQL API integration Git-based source control experience in a collaborative workflow Experience working within Agile delivery teams Preferred Sanity CMS experience: content modeling, schemas, Studio configuration, or GROQ queries Tailwind CSS and component-based design system experience Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Mabl, Jest/Vitest Financial services or other regulated-industry experience
