A registered nurse with expertise in the operating room is needed for a contract role in Ontario, Oregon. This position offers a dynamic environment where delivering exceptional perioperative care and patient safety are top priorities. Ideal candidates will be proficient in assisting during surgeries, managing patient care before, during, and after procedures, and collaborating closely with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room setting
Prepare patients, equipment, and the operating room for surgical procedures
Monitor patient status continuously throughout surgeries
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Document nursing care and patient progress accurately and timely
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current and valid RN license
Proven experience in operating room nursing
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to function well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
