Software Developer (C++/Linux)Location: Remote (LATAN Based)Job Type: ContractWe're looking for an experienced Software Developer with a strong background in Linux and Modern C++ to join a growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-level applications across both Linux and Windows environments, taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle from design and development through to deployment and support.What You'll Be DoingDesign, develop, deploy and support enterprise software applications.Develop high-quality software using Modern C++ and the Standard Template Library (STL).Build and maintain multithreaded, asynchronous applications and inter-process communication (IPC) components.Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit tests.Manage source code using GitHub, including branching, merging, tagging and release management.Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support CI/CD build environments.Linux ResponsibilitiesAdminister and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.Develop Bash scripts to automate deployments and operational processes.Manage Linux deployment environments.Create and maintain Kickstart ISOs for automated Linux provisioning.Database & Enterprise ApplicationsInstall, configure and maintain Oracle databases within Linux environments.Support database schemas, deployments, upgrades and Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU).Develop and support Java/J2EE enterprise applications.Work with development tools such as Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA.Deploy and administer applications using Apache Tomcat 9+, including configuration and performance tuning.What We're Looking ForStrong commercial experience with Modern C++ development.Excellent understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming and IPC.Experience with Visual C++, debugging and software development best practices.Strong GitHub experience.Experience writing automated unit tests.Strong Linux administration skills, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Advanced Bash scripting experience.Experience working with Oracle databases.Java/J2EE development experience.Experience administering Apache Tomcat.Exposure to CI/CD environments and enterprise software deployments.Desirable SkillsExperience working across both Linux and Windows platforms.Knowledge of enterprise application architecture.Experience supporting production environments.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.If you're passionate about developing robust enterprise applications and enjoy working across software development, Linux administration and deployment, we'd love to hear from you.
