Role Description The Grants and Development Manager is responsible for identifying, writing, and managing grant proposals, building and maintaining relationships with donors, and developing fundraising initiatives. This role includes creating compelling grant applications, tracking grant performance, preparing reports for funders, and working closely with the leadership team to align funding opportunities with the organization’s strategic goals. The position also involves managing donor databases, coordinating fundraising events, and nurturing donor engagement. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Council Bluffs, IA. Qualifications Strong grant writing, editing, and proposal development skillsProficiency in fundraising strategies and donor engagementExperience in donor relationship management and maintaining donor databasesKnowledge of nonprofit operations and funding landscapesExcellent organizational, analytical, and project management abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentBachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related fieldExperience with nonprofit fundraising software is a plusDemonstrated commitment to addressing homelessness or working with underserved populations
