SQL Database Developer

To support enterprise healthcare applications, the remote contract SQL Database Developer will design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server databases while optimizing performance and scalability to meet evolving business needs. Key responsibilities Design and maintain SQL Server databases, including schemas, tables, and stored procedures, to support healthcare applications Analyze and optimize database performance, including T-SQL queries and indexing strategies, to enhance application response times Implement solutions for scalability and capacity planning, collaborating with Technical Architects on database modernization strategies Required qualifications 8+ years of SQL Server development experience, with a focus on enterprise-scale applications Proven expertise in database performance tuning and optimization for high transaction volumes Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 and T-SQL programming Familiarity with ETL development, specifically using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Knowledge of healthcare data governance, including compliance with HIPAA regulations
