Network Engineer

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to: Analyze the planning, design, development, and implementation of system and network engineering plans for our Intelligence Community customers. Monitor all activities of the network facilities and ensure high quality data transmission. Provide technical support for all customer facing engagements/interactions, including receipt of specifications, design, test, and response to service requests. Debug and test networks, analyze technical projects, perform needs assessments, analyze and/or oversee cost and benefit estimates, presentations, negotiations, installations, problem resolutions, procurements, and multi-vendor product integration. Provide initial engineering and implementation support of networks to assure proper execution and provides resolution for system failures or degradations, as needed. Provide project management and documentation, as required. It is expected that the candidate will at times participate in, and / or facilitate stakeholder meetings as required.Requirements6+ years of experience with network or system administrationExperience with Linux, including maintaining RHEL, Rocky or UbuntuExperience maintaining and administering Cisco networking switchesExperience maintaining and administering Cisco routersExperience maintaining and administering Cisco FirePower Thread Defense firewallsAbility to maintain software development infrastructure supporting multiple environments and networks in a fast-paced and highly technical environmentAbility to take initiative and make recommendations on existing infrastructuresHS diploma or GEDSecurity+ Certification and Networking certification, such as CCNAAdditional Qualifications (nice to haves):Experience maintaining VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machines (VMs)Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Docker ComposeExperience maintaining Network Appliance, such as Netapp for storage arrays or technologiesExperience maintaining a Windows 11, and maintaining a Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy environmentExperience with Oracle Hardware and Solaris OS, including x86 and SPARCExperience facilitating or implementing Information Security Best Practices, including security compliance initiatives such as patching, IAVA remediation, and POA&M developmentExperience with Splunk logging and NESSUS vulnerability scanningExperience with Kanban or Agile methodologies, and project management applications, such as Jira or RedminePossession of excellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with Jira, Redmine, other project management applicationsClearance:TS/SCI clearance with FS polygraph is required.Benefits401K: up to 3% discretionary profit sharing contribution + 100% match on the 1st 7% of payPTO: 20 days per yearHealthcare, dental, vision, Free for a single participant$50,000 Life insurance provided, additional voluntary life insurance availableInterImage is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
