Our team members have proven track records of success and integrity with considerable experience designing, estimating building and managing projects.Position OverviewThe Business Development Lead is responsible for driving strategic growth by identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships that generate new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial construction markets. This role focuses on building long-term partnerships with owners, developers, engineers, and subcontractors while supporting proposal development, market strategy, and contract negotiations to achieve organizational revenue and growth objectives.Qualifications5–10 years of experience in commercial or industrial constructionDemonstrated experience in business development, project management, or client relationship managementExperience supporting proposal and bid development processesProven ability to build and maintain client relationshipsWorking Knowledge OfConstruction scopes and delivery methodsProject schedules and cost structuresContract terms and negotiation strategiesPre-construction and estimating processesPreferred QualificationsEstablished relationships within regional construction marketsProven success in generating new business opportunitiesStrong understanding of commercial construction industry trendsExperience collaborating with cross-functional teamsProfessional certifications such as:Certified Professional Constructor (CPC)Certified Construction Manager (CCM)Business Development or Sales certificationsEssential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead generation and strategic prospecting within targeted marketsDevelop and maintain strong client and industry relationshipsIdentify and pursue new project opportunities aligned with company capabilitiesSupport proposal development, including RFQs, RFPs, and prequalification packagesConduct market research and competitive analysisCollaborate with operations, estimating, and leadership teams on project pursuitsParticipate in industry events, conferences, and networking activitiesSupport contract negotiations and business development strategyPromote company brand awareness and market presenceMaintain accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and pipeline activityWhy Join Alliant Construction?At Alliant, we build more than just facilities-we build trust, partnerships, and long-term success.
