Financial Controller

Job DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting operations and provide strategic financial oversight within a growing waste and recycling organization. This role will oversee full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational finance support across multi-site operations.The ideal candidate brings experience in industrial, transportation, manufacturing, or waste/recycling environments and understands the financial complexities of fleet operations, commodity pricing, inventory, and logistics.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee full-cycle accounting: AP/AR, payroll, job costing, inventory, fixed assetsLead month-end and year-end close processesPrepare GAAP-compliant financial statementsDevelop budgets, forecasts, and executive-level reportingManage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capitalStrengthen internal controls and audit readinessPartner with operations leadership on margin analysis and cost controlsOversee ERP systems and financial process improvementsEnsure compliance with tax, OSHA, environmental, and DOT regulationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)5+ years Controller or senior accounting leadership experienceExperience in waste management, recycling, transportation, or industrial operations preferredStrong GAAP and financial reporting expertiseERP experience (QuickBooks, SAP, Dynamics, etc.)Proven ability to drive cost reductions and process improvementsBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision401(k) with company matchPaid Time OffProfessional development opportunitiesemail : levi.warren@gogpac.com
