L2 Data Center Operations Technician - Kansas City, MO Clearance Required: Active Public Trust (ADP IT-I)Duration: 12-month projectPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced L2 Data Center Operations Technician to support ongoing data center operations and a large-scale 12-month technology refresh initiative. This role requires hands-on expertise in hardware support, rack and stack deployments, and cabling within a data center environment. Candidates must possess an active Public Trust ADP IT-I clearance.Key Responsibilities Perform rack, stack, and cabling of data center equipmentExecute inter-rack cabling (IRC) and ensure proper cable managementRespond to and resolve IRC alerts and infrastructure issuesConduct Level 2 field engineering (L2 FE) support for hardware troubleshootingReplace and install hardware components including:Memory (RAM)Hard drives (HDD/SSD)Power suppliesOther server components as neededSupport a large-scale tech refresh project, including deployment and decommissioning activitiesMaintain accurate documentation of work performed and inventory usageFollow data center standards, safety protocols, and operational proceduresRequired Qualifications Active Public Trust ADP IT-I clearance (required)Proven experience in a data center operations or field engineering role (L2 level)Hands-on experience with:Rack and stack deploymentsStructured cabling and inter-rack connectivityHardware installation and replacementAbility to troubleshoot hardware issues independentlyStrong attention to detail and adherence to proceduresAbility to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting large-scale data center refresh or migration projectsFamiliarity with data center monitoring and alerting systemsBasic networking knowledgeWork EnvironmentOn-site data center environmentPhysically active role (lifting, moving equipment, standing for extended periods)Fast-paced during peak phases of the tech refresh projectAdditional InformationAll candidates are encouraged to apply, but many positions require a strict drug and background check by our customers.F2OnSite supports and adheres to all state laws regarding background checks.
