We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall well-being of our community.ResponsibilitiesAssists patients with activities of Daily LivingAssists with and accompanies patients on admission, discharge, and transferReceives verbal/written assignments from Charge RNReports any changes in patient condition to Primary RN or Charge RNMaintains clean and neat stocked areas and patient roomsCleans equipment between each patient useOperates unit equipment as requiredRuns unit errands as neededAnswers patient call lights promptlyKeeps hallway clear of equipmentDistributes water and iceMaintains 24-hour urine collectionsPerforms catheter checksPerforms blood glucose monitoring based on patient care orders.Position requires frequent standing and walking, along with regular lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and stooping/crouching.Takes and records vital signs and weightRecords accurate intake and output (to include NG, chest tube, ostomy bags, foley, etc.)Signs/initials documentationDocuments patient turns and repositioningReports any skin condition to RNAssists with completion of daily flow sheetResponds to overhead pagesParticipates in orientation of new employees as assignedAdheres to current Infection Control and Safety StandardsAccesses and accurately maintains electronic and paper medical recordsCompletes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirementsAdheres to current Infection Control and Safety StandardsRegular and prompt attendanceAbility to work schedule as defined and overtime as requiredRelated duties as assignedAdditional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
