Tax Customer Service Representative

Tax Customer Service Representative Person County Government is seeking a professional and customer-focused individual to join the Tax Office as a Tax Customer Service Representative. This position plays a vital role in supporting the collection of taxes and maintaining accurate tax records while delivering high-quality service to the public. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for performing a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service functions related to tax billing, collections, and record maintenance. The position requires frequent interaction with the public, providing assistance, answering questions, and resolving issues in a courteous and professional manner. The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience. Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy. This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
