Quality Engineer
Our industrial client in Sussex County is seeking a Quality Engineer to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This role is hands-on and works closely with operations and engineering, ideal for someone with strong quality fundamentals and a practical, execution-focused mindset. Collaborative work environment. Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality plans for products and manufacturing processes Interpret engineering drawings, routings, and customer specifications Perform and oversee inspections of raw materials and finished goods Conduct hands-on measurements using calipers, micrometers and utilize advanced visual inspection systems Analyze quality data, maintain inspection records, and prepare reports Support internal, external, and customer audits and follow-up actions Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions Train and support production and inspection teams on quality requirements Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, and Operations Requirements 4+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering discipline Strong understanding of quality systems, audits, and documentation Hands-on inspection and measurement experience Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills Benefit offerings PTO/Holiday pay, Medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability, employee assistance program, and a 401k plan.
