You will load fixtures/parts onto the machine, indicate them round and flat to the machine surface. Set tools and generate offsets. Be responsible for recording dimensions throughout the machining process.What you'll do:Machine products to tight tolerancesReads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performedVerifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometersComputes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work piecesAdjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operatorsParticipates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirementsWork independently and as a team to achieve maximum qualityCompute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracyObserving all applicable safety practicesCarries out other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications3 or more years of experience as a Machinist including operating lathes or mills.3 or more years of experience reading/interpreting manuals and technical drawings, utilizing hands tools, and working with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers).3 or more years of experience with manual machine tools operations.Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistanceAbility to stand for 5 plus hours at a timeMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Desired Skills* Preferred CNC or Manual Machinist Certification* VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experience* High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precisionBenefits that make life better:* Comprehensive Healthcare* 401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested* Paid Time Off starting on day one* Bonus opportunities* Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts* Short- & Long-Term Disability* Life & AD&D Insurance* Learning & Training opportunities#LI-ML1
