Product Owner (Varicent Platform)Location: Fort mill, SC Duration: Longterm ContractOverview: As a Product Owner focused on the Varicent platform, you'll serve as the central bridge between business needs and technical delivery. You'll shape, drive, and refine solutions in the Sales Performance Management (SPM) or Incentive Compensation domain using Varicent ICM and related products.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive Product Vision & RoadmapDefine product strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.Prioritize and manage the product backlog, user stories, epics, and features.Convert business requirements into technical stories, designing Varicent workflows, business rules, and calculations.Lead Agile DeliveryFacilitate agile ceremonies such as grooming sessions, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.Coordinate with cross-functional teams—engineering, design, QA, architects, and stakeholders—for high-quality delivery.Oversee Testing & LaunchLead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) from scenario definition to execution.Support launch readiness, ensuring accuracy and quality of deployments.Monitor & OptimizeAnalyze product performance and user feedback to iterate and improve.Track KPIs and business drivers to inform next steps and future enhancements.Required QualificationsExperience10-15+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager with exposure to Varicent ICM or related compensation systems.Domain KnowledgeStrong understanding of sales performance management and incentive compensation processes.Familiarity with business rules, exceptions, and payout mechanics in the incentive space.Technical & Agile ProficiencyComfortable with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Rally, and Confluence.Ability to write clear user stories and manage backlog across complex initiatives.Analytical & Communication SkillsStrong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration.Nice-to-HavesExperience with Varicent ELT or Varicent AI products.Exposure to other incentive platforms like Callidus or Anaplan.Familiarity with design thinking and customer-centric methodologies.
