Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) - School Setting | ContractLocation: Lacey, WA 98516Pay Rate: $30 - $36 per hour (Local, based on experience)Schedule: Monday - FridayShift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM - 3:00 PMWeekly Hours: 32.5 Hours (6.5 Hours per Day)Job Type: ContractPosition Overview"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) to provide direct behavioral support in a school-based environment. The technician will work one-on-one with a 3rd grade student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who has minimal verbal communication.The CBT will implement structured behavioral interventions, support communication and social skill development, and effectively manage high-intensity behaviors while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.This role requires a professional who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with school staff and a supervising behavior analyst.Key ResponsibilitiesBehavioral Support & InterventionImplement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) developed by the supervising behavior analystProvide consistent one-on-one behavioral support to the assigned studentUtilize evidence-based behavioral management strategiesMonitor and document behavioral data accurately for progress trackingSupport development of communication, social, and adaptive skillsCrisis ManagementRespond effectively to high-intensity behaviors and crisis situationsApply approved crisis prevention and de-escalation techniquesMaintain a safe learning environment for the student and classroom staffFollow established incident reporting and behavioral documentation proceduresStudent SupportAssist the student with academic, behavioral, and social tasks throughout the school dayEncourage independence and positive adaptive behaviorsSupport transitions between classroom activities and school settingsCollaborate with teachers and special education staff to reinforce behavioral strategiesData Collection & ReportingCollect and maintain detailed behavioral data in accordance with the intervention planCommunicate student progress and concerns with supervising behavior staff and school personnelAssist in evaluating the effectiveness of behavioral interventionsCollaboration & SupervisionWork under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Attend weekly group supervision sessions (Wednesdays) during regular work hoursFollow all clinical, educational, and district protocolsProfessional ExpectationsMaintain consistent attendance and punctuality throughout the assignmentDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a school settingAbility to independently implement behavioral plans upon assignmentMaintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conductRequired QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredCoursework in psychology, education, or behavioral science preferredCertificationCertified Behavior Technician (CBT) certification requiredExperienceExperience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) requiredExperience in behavioral crisis response and management requiredSchool-based behavioral support experience preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principlesAbility to manage high-intensity behavioral challenges safely and effectivelyExcellent observation and behavioral data collection skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to remain calm, professional, and supportive during behavioral crisesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionFor more details contact at pmohanty@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-806-4227.
